Wilma Rounsaville
Wilma “Katherine” Rounsaville, 88, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on August 3, 2022.
She was born October 30, 1933 to Marvin and Jessie Mount. Katherine was a remarkable daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was a member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church and Philadelphia Baptist Church where she was also a part of the choir. Katherine loved singing and was even a part of a quartet. She was a wonderful seamstress, making her children’s clothes and home décor for those who would ask for her beautiful work. For most of her life she was a bookkeeper for Dr. Stewart Lawwill Jr. Ophthalmology but what was the bigger part of her life was her children. She loved shuttling to ball games and all of the after school activities and the best cheerleader. Katherine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles E. Rounsaville, daughters, Theresa Rounsaville and Karen Coffelt, parents, Marvin Thomas Sr. and Jessie (Bartee) Mount, brothers, Marvin T. Mount Jr., William “Bill” Mount Sr., sisters, Julia Mount Lewis Lowe, Nancy Mount Clark, Margaret Mount Flegal, and Anna “Mabel” Newell.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Treadway of Hixson, Tn. and Lisa Terrell of Nashville, TN., grandchildren Kristi Coffelt, Vivian Court, Jessica Terrell Petty, Dillon Treadway, Christian Terrell, great-grandchildren, Addison, Emily and Harper Petty, son-in-law’s, Louis Samuel Coffelt Jr. and Chris Terrell and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 7, at Hamilton Funeral Home from 1:30-6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, Aug. 8, from 10-11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 8, at Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m.
A graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, Aug. 8, at 12:30 p.m.
