Charlene Brown Owens
Charlene Brown Owens, age 73 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, September 24, 2022 at a local hospital.
She was born March 27, 1949 in Dalton, a daughter of the late Charlie William and Willie Belle Miller Brown. She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Annie Jo and Steed Thornton, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Owens of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Jill Hamilton of Cohutta, GA, Stephen and Jessica Hamilton of Dalton, GA, Mitchell and Sherri Hughes of Chatsworth, GA; daughters, Traci Ball of Tunnel Hill, GA, Michelle Hughes of Ranger, GA; brother, Gordon Brown of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Mckenzie and Matt Hankins, Sara and Andrew Kaplan, Blake and Zoie Ball, Avery Hamilton, Ashton Hamilton, Kaylee Hamilton, Dylan Hamilton, Sidnee Hughes, Reese Hamilton, Addi Hamilton, Brooke Hamilton; eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Charlene Brown Owens will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. from the Brown Pavilion at 1476 Miller Rd SE Dalton, GA 30721 with Reverend Harold Poteet officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Blake Ball, Avery Hamilton, Dylan Hamilton, Matt Hankins, Andrew Kaplan and Adam Thornton serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
