Minister Saundra Alisa Boston Gatewood peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

 

Saundra was born January 28, 1970, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was the youngest child of Charlie and Corine Boston. Saundra accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was a faithful member of Olivet Baptist Church. Saundra was a woman of God whose faith and trust were undeniable.

 

She was a 1988 graduate of Brainerd Senior High School.

 

Saundra was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Hazel Bloodsaw, Charlie and Louella Boston, Sr., her parents, Charlie and Corine Boston, Jr.; her brother, Dexter Boston, and her son, Cameron Jeffries.

 

Saundra is survived by her husband of seven years, Lunar Gatewood; children, Charlie Jeffries, Skylar Gatewood, Kaleb Gatewood, and Laniesha Gatewood; grandson, Zion Gatewood; devoted sister, Valerie Boston Kitchens; devoted brother, Michael S. Boston; siblings, Greg (Naomi) Swift, Vikki Smith, TaJuana (Michael) Mitchell, Angela McGhee, Carmen Bryant, and Tiara Simpson; aunts and uncles, Linda Bonner, Florine Boston, Ralph Boston, Michael Boston, and Elbert Boston; devoted cousin, Tyra Dean; devoted friend, Cheryl Baker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Public viewing will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, followed immediately by a 10:30 a.m. funeral service at Olivet Baptist Church, 740 East ML King Blvd.

 

Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
