10th Ranked Mocs Travel To In-State Rival ETSU

  • Friday, September 30, 2022
The 10th-ranked Chattanooga Mocs stay on the road for week 5 traveling back into Southern Conference play. It’s Rail Rivalry time with ETSU on the docket. It’s a tale of teams trying to do similar things but in very different positions at kickoff.

The Mocs are 1-0 and tied with Mercer, Furman and Samford atop the SoCon standings. The Bucs are 0-2 and need a win to turn their fortunes back towards being in the title race.

Both teams are known for running the ball and playing stingy defense.
The two leading rushers in the SoCon - Jacob Saylors (118.5) and Ailym Ford (105.8) - face the top two rush defenses in the Mocs (100.2) and Bucs (119.8).

The two are 1-2 in the league in scoring defense. The Bucs limit opponents to just over two scores a game (14.2 ppg) with the Mocs defense on their heels (16.2 ppg).

Saturday’s broadcast is on ESPN+ and the Mocs Sports Network. Kickoff is at 3 p.m.

Home tickets can be purchased at the link above or by calling (423) 266-MOCS (6627). Single-game sales start at $15.
