Patricia Ann Roe
Patricia Ann Roe, 88, of Hixson, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 12, 2023, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family in her final days.
She was the daughter of the late Ralph McCloud Alexander of Greenback and Mary Dana Long of the Trigonia community. She grew up in Oak Ridge and attended Oak Ridge High School and Bob Jones Academy. She later attended Carson Newman College where she met her future husband, Harold Eugene Roe of Harriman, who became a football coach at Rossville and later Red Bank Junior High for more than three decades. "Patsy," as she was known to many, was a long-time receptionist at the Highland Pediatric Clinic.
Surviving her are their five children, David and Jon, and daughters Julia (Mark) Garrett, Cheryl (Jimmy) Manis, and Dawn (Kerry) Hoover. Her grandchildren include Jeff France, Amber Crisman Brown (deceased), Lindsay Taylor, Brooke (Nick) Allen, Laura (Daniel) Pickett, and Tiffany (Jake) Shaver. They gifted her with fifteen great-grandchildren who were a constant source of pride for "Mamaw Roe": Brian Tanner; Daily and Sam Mollyhorn; Cole Taylor; Jacen Crisman; Sierra, Jackson and Everett Pickett; Nicholas and Will Cruz; Halston, Stone and Demi Shaver; and Lulu and Holden Allen. She loved them all and enjoyed their many visits.
And a special thanks goes out to all the workers of Hospice of Chattanooga, Ashley and Christy, who brought kindness and friendship with their care.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to send condolences may donate to the Chattanooga Food Bank, the Union Gospel Mission, or St. Jude's Hospital for Children, all missions that were close to her heart. Services will be scheduled at a later date
