Linda Sue Smith
Linda Sue Smith, 71, of Chattanooga, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
She was born June 19, 1952 at Luke Air Force Base, Az., to the late George Donald and Ruby Alice Kinsinger.
Linda grew up in a military home and traveled with her family to many locations which gave her a love for travel and people.
She was a graduate of Rudyard High School in Rudyard, Mi. Linda was a wonderful homemaker and the love of her husband’s life.
She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church and the Ladies Bible Studies.
Her son, Jeshua C. Smith, AMN USAF; nephew, Steven R. Skology; sisters, Jacqueline A. Duncan and Paulette A. Eickhoff; brothers, David A. Kinsinger, Brian D. Kinsinger, and Michael J. Kinsinger; fathers-in-law, John R. Smith, Robert “Tiny” Badgett, and Kenneth Tensley; and mother-in-law, Gladys M. Tinsley preceded her in death.
Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Bobie Jack Smith; mother-in-law Gladys Smith of Knoxville; daughter, Manasseh A. (Eric) Walk of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Christopher (Jane) Walk, Dillon Walk, and Bailey Walk; great-grandchildren, Hadley Walk and Skylar Walk all of Wichita, KS; sisters, Donna L. (Carl) Kalberer of Asheville, NC, Mary C. Kinsinger of York NE, Sandra G. (Garry) Hensley of Corryton, TN, and Laura M. (John) Wall of Prior Lake, MN; brothers-in-law, Carl (Linda) Smith of Sun City, AZ, Larry Smith of Knoxville, TN, and John Smith of Knoxville, TN; sisters-in-law, Ruth (Steve) Skology of Stafford, VA, Barb (Dickie) May of Knoxville, TN, Theresa Smith of Knoxville, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. in the East Brainerd chapel with Pastor Adam Love officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church Missions Fund (7815 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421).
