Joe Kennedy
Joseph “Joe” Kennedy, age 53 of Dalton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 26, 2023, at Hamilton Medical Center .
Joseph was preceded in death by his father H.C. Kennedy, mother Pat Keyt, stepfather Wayne Keyt, grandparents Joseph Kennedy and Zula Kennedy, Dan Robinson and Agnes Robinson.
Joseph was smart, big-hearted, kind and a tremendous athlete. For many years, he held the record for discus and shotput in the state of Georgia. He was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan and loved animals. More than anything, he loved his family, especially his nieces. He was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving sister, Wendy Brooks, and brother-in-law Landon Brooks of Dalton; his uncle Mike Robinson and Jerrilyn Robinson; Aunt Barb McCroskey; nieces Jessica Ledford and (Jason), Stephanie Brooks and (Kevin Richardson); cousins and special friends Greg Beach, Eric Underwood and Chip Brock.
A Memorial service will be held Thursday, Nov. 30 at 5:30 p.m. at Maple Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday, Nov. 30 from 4 to service time of 5:30 p.m.
