The Military Officers Association of America, Chattanooga chapter held its annual Christmas Dinner Tuesday evening at the Walden Club.
LTC John Harbison presented Col. Chris Dooley, a 1989 graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College, Ft. Leavenworth, Ks., with the prestigious Colonel Steve Strobridge MOAA award.
The Chattanooga chapter of MOAA, founded in 1977, is involved each year in the U.S. Marine Corp’s Toys for Tots and collects non – perishable items for the Chattanooga Food Bank.
Guests included Hamilton County Historian Linda Moss Mines and General B.B. Bell, who is a longtime member of MOAA, Hamilton County Judge Boyd Patterson, Representative Patsy Hazelwood, Council Lady Paula Stinnett, and several other friends of MOAA.
MOAA’s entertainment was provided by the Choo Choo Singers with “An evening of Christmas selections.”
The December meeting emphasizes membership. MOAA, as it is known, has over 360,000 members worldwide.
