New programs, updates to jazz night, opening the co-working lounge, class opportunities and more are coming to Barking Legs Theater in 2024.
Tuesday, Jan. 2 - Open Mic Comedy in the Lounge (Free)
Every first Tuesday of the month, come check out some of Chattanooga’s finest local comics trying out their newest stuff…or give it a try yourself! Sign up to go up at 7 p.m.; show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 3 - Jazz in the Theater: Alan Wyatt
Jazz night is back in a big way in 2024 with Alan Wyatt. Performances are moving into the theater - but don’t worry, we won’t lose that “lounge” vibe. Start time 7:30 p.m.; $10 cover. Tips for band highly appreciated.
Monday, Jan. 8 - Monday Movie Night
Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month will now be Movie Mondays, with screenings curated by Gordon Inman. Join on Jan. 8 for the inaugural film night: 1986 French dance film Mammame, by Chilean filmmaker Raul Ruiz. Tickets $10.
Applications still open for Park 'N Bark - a low-cost co-working membership for creatives at Barking Legs. Sign up by Dec. 31 to begin membership in January. Looking for a fun place to work during the day with like-minded creatives? Membership is $50/month for individuals, $120/month for organizations (up to three members) - Limited to 30 members. Starting January 2024 - Acting Class with Tripp Pettigrew
Intermediate and Advanced Acting classes offered on Mondays and Wednesdays at BLT with director Tripp Pettigrew. Prices are for participation in 16 weeks of class. All classes start the week of Jan. 29. No classes the week of March 11. Detailed class schedule will be provided upon successful registration. Classes will have an industry showcase to take place the week of May 20 (Participation is encouraged, though not required).
