Ted Thompson
Ted Austin Thompson, 92, of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Life Care Center of Ooltewah, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thompson and brothers, Ralph Thompson, Lee Thompson, and Sam Thompson.
Ted is survived by his wife of sixty-five (65) years, Carolyn Smith Thompson; daughter and son-in-law, Lesa and Alan Clark; son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Laura Thompson; grandchildren, Katie Clark, Madelynne Thompson, and Colin Thompson; and sisters, Daisy Hensley (Bud) and Nora Seagle. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Ted was a Broker for Landmark Realty of Georgia. He served in the United States Navy. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church of Dalton.
The family will receive friends at a visitation at the First United Methodist Church of Dalton Atrium on Monday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 2 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Church’s Chapel on Monday, Dec. 4. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to First United Methodist Church (500 North Thornton Avenue, Dalton, GA 30720).
