Mary "Sissy" Nichols, age 69, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia passed away on November 30, 2023.
A funeral service to honor Mary's life will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. in Menlo, Ga. at the High Christian Community Church. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Gill Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12 p.m. until the start of the service.
Sissy was born November 23, 1954 to the late Thomas and Edna Ruth Smith Gill. Although she never had children of her own, she embraced the role of mother to many. Sissy was a caring sister, aunt, and a loyal friend. She deeply loved her family and radiated a spirit of adventure throughout her life.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, Sissy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Eller and brothers, Joe Thomas, Roy and Billie Joe Gill.
