Malissie Kenemore
Malissie Ann Kenemore, age 69, of Wildwood, GA, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2023 surrounded by her family at home.
A Graveside Service to honor the life of Malissie will be held on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 12 p.m. EST at Hooker Cemetery in Wildwood, Ga., with James Chappeluar officiating.
Malissie was born in Chattanooga, Tn. to Thomas "Bill" and Novella Smith Ballard on October 17, 1954.
She attended and graduated from Central High School in 1972. She would later follow a passion of hers and become a cosmetologist. Through it all, as a devoted mother and grandmother, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Additionally, Malissie enjoyed the simple things such as painting, canning various foods, gardening, baking, decorating, and watching football. She will be missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing her during her life.
Malissie is survived by her daughter, Jodie (Brandon) Kenemore-Pate; her sons, Tommie (Courtney) Ballard and Tray Kenemore; her sisters, Edna Blevins, Minnie Ballard, and June Kennemore; her 11 grandchildren, Carson Rogers, Lucas Wright, Lanie Ballard, Aiden Wooten, Maddux Daniels, Taylor Pate, Lillee Ballard, Kyler Wooten, Bella Kenemore, Preston Pate, and Kaleigh Kenemore; her two pets whom she thought of as grandkids, Murphy and Cali; and a host of family and friends that will cherish the memories made with her.
In addition to her parents, Malissie was preceded in death by her sister, Beulah Woosley.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Summer Peoples, Malissie’s great niece.
A Celebration of Life service will be held after the New Year.
