Sherman+Reilly Inc., the leading manufacturer of utility line stringing equipment, has donated $50,000 to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. To date, Sherman+Reilly has given a total of $200,000 to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank-the equivalent of 600,000 meals for Chattanooga area residents in need.

“Ending hunger is a community effort” says Melissa Blevins, president & CEO of the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. “It involves a collaborative effort of donors, friends and community leaders.
Year after year, we’ve seen Sherman+Reilly demonstrate their commitment to ending hunger and earn their right to carry each of these titles. With the critical support of our community partners, the food bank serves all of our communities and our neighbors with dignity and compassion. This year we are planning to distribute more food than ever before, as increased housing, childcare and food costs have affected every family’s budget, we’ve all felt the pinch. We are thankful for the partnership with Sherman+Reilly and this generous gift of $50,000 will be instrumental in providing thousands of families with nourishing food and hope.”

Dave Ring, CEO and president of Sherman+Reilly added, “Sherman+Reilly is proud to be able to help the Chattanooga Area Food Bank and our neighbors in need. As members of this community, we know the Tennessee Valley is a giving community, and we’ve seen the good that happens when we work together to help each other.”
