Victor Pierre “Peter” Serodino III was born on September 4, 1957, in Paris, France, and passed away on December 6, 2023. He was a son, brother, and father, but most importantly, he was a great friend.

Peter grew up on Signal Mountain, attended Signal Mountain Elementary and the Westminster School followed by The University of Richmond (Class of ’79). After college he entered the family business and made the bold decision to lead Southern Marine Construction as president, building commercial docks and managing marine construction projects all throughout the Southeast and Midwest.

He was an avid aviation enthusiast with thousands of hours spent in the pilot seat, that, combined with his big heart and spirit of giving, led him to volunteer Angel Flights for those with emergency medical needs. He was recognized as Tennessee Pilot of the Year in 2011 by Airlift Hope for the countless flights he had made for people in need. He was an early supporter of Skyuka Hall School and served on their board.

Peter was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Joyner Serodino.

He is survived by his father, Victor (Pete) Serodino Jr.; two sons, Peter IV and David; two grandsons, Gunner and Sebastian; three sisters: Patricia Borsch of Tequesta FL, Michelle Hunter of Chattanooga, Catherine Siracusa of Geneva Switzerland; seven nieces and nephews, and his companion of many years, Fran Thomason.

In lieu of flowers, Peter would like donations to be made to Skyuka Hall School, The Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga’s Emergency Relief Fund, or Angel Flight Southeast Inc

There will be a Celebration of Life reception for family and friends at the Southern Belle’s Dockside Bar and Grille from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415, 423 877-3524, lanefh.com.
