Richard Gearing
Richard Gearing, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at his residence.
He worked from Chattanooga Housing Authority.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Louise Gearing; brothers, Donald Gearing and Nathaniel Gearing; and sisters, Phyllis Gearing and Angela Gearing Appleberry.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Gearing; sons, Rodrell Daniel, Sr., Dekedrick Gearing, Richard Jojuan Gearing, and Kadrian Gearing; daughter, Natosha Stone; 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gwendolyn Gearing Jones; special friends, Tommy Colvin and George E. Woodruff, Jr.; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Richard will lie in state on Friday, Feb. 10, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will be on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. in Highland Memorial Gardens with George E. Woodruff, Jr. as the eulogist.
