On February 21, 2023, Carl William Mooney went to be with Jesus in heaven after a long, hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer.

Carl, who's nickname was Bo, worked for almost 35 years at Astec. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and building things. Bo had a quiet personality who let his actions speak as to the kind of man he was.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Carla, his sons Bo (Tiffany) and Jesse Mooney, parents Charles and Barbara Mooney, sisters Debbie Mooney-Raven (Paul) and Cindy Mooney, brother Charles Jr. (Tracy) Mooney, and his grandkids Aiden, Sadie, Kaiden, Eli, Kate, and Lane along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Bo felt the way you treated others already showed what would be said at a funeral so he asked to not have a funeral but do a private Day of Remembrance with the family. He would want you to honor his memory by making new memories taking someone fishing or by donating to the Flattop Independent Church (building fund) where he enjoyed attending.

The family would like to thank the Soddy Daisy Police Department and Avalon Hospice for their support and care during this time. Their kindness was such a blessing.

Bo only was on this earth for 59 short years but his memory will live on in our hearts for a lifetime.

Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.

Arrangements are by Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy Daisy, Tn. 37379.
