David Allen Ferry, Jr., 63, of Sale Creek, passed away March 15, 2023 at home, after a hard-fought battle with leukemia, of almost two years. He was born Feb. 16, 1960, in Waukegan, Il. David worked a majority of his life hanging drywall, and was excellent at it. David had a great sense of humor and quick wit. He had a love for guns, Nascar and the outdoors. He had a large “giving” heart and was always there for anyone who needed help.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dave Ferry, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, June Ferry; loving wife, Louise Ferry; daughter, Candace D. (Tanner) Clark; siblings, Joy (Mike) Phillips, Deborah Hixson, Donna (special friend, Steve Clark) Padgett and Doug (Kathy) Ferry; and grandchildren, Ryman and Layla Clark.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 24 at Sale Creek Fire Hall, Hwy. 27. The family will receive friends from 5--7 p.m., prior to the service.
