George Lamar Dent entered into eternal rest on March 20, 2023. He was born July 5, 1945, and was a lifelong resident of Hixson.
George worked most of his adult life as an auto mechanic, and was an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erman and Clara Dent; sister, Alma Jo; and brothers, Larry and Alvin Dent.
He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Margaret (Hester) Dent; son, Jeff (Bonita) Dent. of Rossville; daughter Kimberly (Micah) Huling, of Clarksville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; three sisters; and one brother.
The family will have a private memorial service followed by a future celebration of life at a later time.
