DeLisa Ann Curl Dickerson, 62, of the Fairview Community in Rossville, left for her heavenly home singing “I’ll Fly Away” on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she accepted her Lord and Savior at the age of 10.
DeLisa was a graduate of Rossville High School Class of 1978 and was a Sergeant of the Rossville High School Marching Band. She was an active member of the track team and was proud to be a Rossville Bulldog.
After graduation, DeLisa went to Jacksonville State University receiving her degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She continued her education in Physical Therapy where she practiced for 32 years.
She enjoyed softball, cooking and gardening. DeLisa loved God, her sweet dog, Jasper and treasured her time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Dickerson; father, DeLacy Curl; sisters, Kathy Funderburk and Sherri Barbee; grandparents, C.T and Hattie Curl and Frank and Etta Brinson.
Survivors include her mother, Barbara Curl; brother, DeLacy Curl, II; nieces and nephews, Ronny (Melissa), Kristy, Brittany, Brandon (Amanda), Kandra (Jeremy), Amanda, DeLacy, III “Trey” and Cameron.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Bennett officiating. DeLisa will lie in state at the church from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
