Travis Antwain Sledge, Jr. left his earthly home for his heavenly home on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the age of 28.

He was born in Chattanooga, on May 27, 1994, to his parents, Travis Sledge, Sr. and Tjuana Russell.

Travis graduated from East Hamilton High School, class of 2012. He was a believer in Christ. He was employed by Chamberlain Apartments Express. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Travis was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald Bonner; great grandfathers, John Isom, Eddie Tarvin, and Jonah Sims; great grandmothers, Dora Tarvin and Annie Sledge; daughter, Trinity Sledge, and uncle, Darick Isom, Sr.

He leaves behind to cherish his precious memories, two sons, Brayden Sledge and True Sledge both of Chattanooga, TN, parents, Tjuana (Carvin) Russell and Travis (Tenisha) Sledge, Sr. both of Chattanooga; grandparents, Ollie Isom, David Isom, and Cynthia (Joe) Easting, all of Chattanooga; great-grandparent, Geneva Sims of Chattanooga; seven sisters, Breonna Lloyd, Rhyan Russell, Royalti’ Sledge, Kiana Russell, Sydney Russell, and Destini Parker all of Chattanooga, and Celeste Russell of Nashville, TN; four brothers, Jo’Siah Sledge, He’Zekiah Sledge, Codie Russell, and Frederick Parker all of Chattanooga; seven aunts, LeShawn (Clarence) Ross, Tonjalia (Frank) Dubose, Karen (Carlos) Thompson all of Chattanooga, Patricia Moss and Deborah Sledge of Louisville KY, Kellye Hudson and Gina Owens both of Knoxville; seven uncles, Thomas Gordon of Huntsville AL, JaJuan Isom, Justin Isom, Julian Caldwell, Charles Sledge, Jr. all of Chattanooga, Ronald Sledge and Thomas Ross, both of Louisville, KY; five great-aunts, Brenda Colon, Carolyn (John) Gordon, Sandra Sims, Patricia Tarvin and Annie (Vesteree) Barnes all of Chattanooga; three great-uncles, Wayne (Elaine) Sims of Atlanta GA. Terry Sims, and Bennie (Zsa Zsa) Tarvin all of Chattanooga; four close cousins, Charles Sledge, III, Keashunda Isom, Jessica Watson, and Domanek Watson all of Chattanooga.

Travis also leaves behind his special lady, Shanda Thomas, and his best friend, DeMarcus Mackey both of Chattanooga, and a host of other loving cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Public viewing will be held from 1-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, at the funeral home.

An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Friday, May 26, at Olivet Baptist Church, 740 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens-East.
