Darick Isom
Darick Leneal Isom transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the age of 44.
He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on December 27, 1978, to his parents, David Isom and Ollie Isom.
Darick attended Brainerd High School and was a believer in Christ. He was employed by TAG as a welder. He will be sorely missed by all the lives he touched.
Darick was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dora Tarvin; grandfathers, Eddie Lee Tarvin, John Isom, and Jonah Sims; daughter, Destiny Isom and nephew, Travis Sledge, Jr.
Darick leaves behind to cherish his loving memories, two sons, Darick Isom, Jr. and Gage Isom both of Chattanooga, TN; one daughter, Deja Middlebrooks-Isom of Chattanooga, TN; parents, David Isom and Ollie Isom of Chattanooga, TN; grandparent, Geneva Sims of Chattanooga, TN; five sisters, Tonjalia (Frank) Dubose, Tjuana (Carvin) Russell and LeShawn (Clarence) Ross all of Chattanooga TN; Kellye Hudson and Gina Owens of Knoxville TN; four brothers – Thomas Gordon of Huntsville AL; Julian Caldwell, Jajuan Isom and Justin Isom all of Chattanooga, TN, five aunts, Annie (Vesteree) Barnes, Patricia Tarvin, Carolyn (John) Gordon, Brenda Colon, and Sandra Sims all of Chattanooga, TN; three uncles, Bennie (Zsa Zsa) Tarvin, and Terry Sims both of Chattanooga, TN, Wayne (Elaine) Sims of Atlanta GA, two great-aunts, Ethel Billups and Betty Sheffield, both of Chattanooga, TN.
Darick also leaves behind his special lady, Timesha Goodlow and his special cousin, Darrel Gordon both of Chattanooga; his best friend, Stephen Wright of Knoxville and a host of other loving cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 1-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, at the funeral home.
An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Friday, May 26, at Olivet Baptist Church, 740 East Martin Luther King Blvd.
Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens-East.
