Jr. Clay, former McCallie Blue Tornado basketball star and who played at Tennessee Tech and Tennessee State, has been named to the Ohio Valley Conference's 75th anniversary team for men's basketball.
Clay was a five-time all-OVC selection the first athlete in OVC history to accomplish that feat.
He was a four-time second team all-OVC at Tennessee Tech then this past season he earned first team honors at Tennessee State.
Clay finished 9th on the all-time men's basketball scoring list with 2,241 points and played in 146 games with 114 starts. He also averaged double figures in scoring all five seasons with his final year at Tennessee State being his best averaging 19.3 points per game.
