Norris, William Hugh (Dayton)

William Hugh Norris, 63, of Dayton, peacefully passed away on June 1, 2023 at his residence in Dayton. He was born on Feb. 2, 1960 in Emerson, Ga. to the late Hugh and Betty (Cox) Norris.

William will be remembered as a loving and caring individual, known for his kind-hearted nature and warm presence. He touched the lives of many with his generosity and compassion, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

William is survived by his beloved siblings, Frances (Gary) Calhoun, Alice (Dennis) Mauldine, Ruby (Mike) Petrellia, James Norris, Robert Norris, Deborah Turner and Frankie (Bernie) Clark; several step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild, Brent Lynn Risby.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Norris and Betty Cox-Hustetler, as well as his son, Anthony Norris. Their memories will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved William.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, Cleveland Chapel. 

A private burial service will be held at a later date, to be decided by the family at New Hope Baptist Church in Acworth, Ga. Pastor Brad Dewberry will officiate the service and interment will take place at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Acworth, Ga.
