Aaron J. Drelinger
Aaron J. Drelinger, of Hixson, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 15, 2023, in a local hospital.
Aaron was born on Sept. 19, 1967, in Reno, Ne., to Delores Jean Clarke and Jay Drelinger.
Aaron graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pa. After briefly attending Pennsylvania State University, he decided to relocate to the Chattanooga area. Aaron had a long career as a CNC programmer before deciding to return to school where he received his associate’s degree in Applied Sciences. This led to a new career in mechanical design. At the time of his passing, he worked for Master Machine as well as his own startup company, Nextxdesign.
Aaron was an accomplished drummer, who played in many bands over the years. He was a huge fan of the band Rush, and Neil Peart was one of his favorite drummers. He shared his love of music with his son, Alex, and took him to several concerts over the years, including Rush. He dearly loved his son and cherished the time he spent with him. Alex was involved in his business, and would often work with his father on projects. It was truly bonding time for them.
Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Jean, and his brothers, Wynn and Gary Kilgore.
Aaron is survived by his much-loved son, Alex; sister, Brenda Thomas; and father, Jay. He also left behind are several nieces, nephews, and good friends. He will be missed.
