John “Jack” William Moore, Jr.
John “Jack” William Moore, Jr., 76, was a loving husband, father, grandfather (Papa), great-grandfather and brother . He loved his family with his everything. He loved traveling the country and Canada with his wife of 40 years. “Jack” had a comedic charm, and was rarely serious with his family and friends. He never met a stranger, and would always spark up a conversation with anyone he would come in contact with.
“Jack” was a fighter, he proudly served two tours fighting for his country in Vietnam with the US Navy where he was exposed to Agent Orange which caught up to him in the later years of his life. He fought many forms of cancer, heart failure, and was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. He fought hard for nearly 20 years but finally succumbed to the diseases in the early hours of August 20, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his father John Moore Sr., his mother Dorothy Moore, his sister Dale Anne, and his loving wife Cindy Moore.
He is survived by his daughter Kimberly French and her husband Michael of Cleveland, TN, his sons Timothy Aday and his wife Katina of Cleveland, TN, and Michael Aday and his wife Tifney of Cleveland, TN. He is also survived by his sisters Cheri Chernak, and Barbara Earnhardt of Apple Valley, CA. Also surviving are his grandchildren Tiffany Vail and her husband Chandler of Nashville, TN, Jennifer Bright and her fiancé Gage Hatfield of Antioch, TN, Andrea Bright, Caleb Aday, Brylee Aday, Jonathan Aday, and RaeLynn Aday all of Cleveland, TN, his great-grandchildren Anabelle, Elijah, and Xavier, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Remembrance of Life Graveside Service will be held private for the family at a later time.
