The Net Resource Foundation and the Westside Missionary Baptist Church will host the first-ever “For the Culture Community Festival” at the Southside Community Park on Saturday, Sept. 16 from noon-6 p.m. The event is free, open to the public and will feature retail and food vendors.
Vendors can apply by emailing thenetresourcefoundation@gmail.com.
The Net Resource Foundation needs about 50 vendors and about 25 volunteers for the festival. Food vendors can purchase a booth for $75 and retail vendors can purchase space for $50, and both types of vendors are required to bring their own materials.
Several sponsors have committed to the festival so far, including the City of Chattanooga, The Bethlehem Center and the South Chattanooga Community Association.
The Net Resource Foundation’s Executive Director Raquetta Dotley says the “For the Culture Community Festival” will be a family-friendly event that is culturally focused. This event will include entertainment, food and games. “Our goal is to always bring asset-based community events and programs to the South Chattanooga community. This is another opportunity to showcase this amazing community,” said Ms. Dotley.
The festival will be moved to Sept. 30 if there’s rain in the forecast.
