I believe County Attorney Rheubin Taylor will have to be dragged out of his county office. He stubbornly denies his successor access to “his” office, which actually belongs to the people of Hamilton County. He should have been fired two years ago.
It seems no one with authority is brave enough to confront this issue. What are they afraid of?
The county will be the losers when his successor takes over with little or no support from Mr. Taylor.
Any man with any sense of pride and service would be more than happy to ensure his successor a fair start.

I worked with Mr Taylor for 18 years. I have been in numerous professional settings throughout my 70 years on this earth, including counseling and teaching people from every continent. I have dealt with the high level movers and shakers, and worked with the blue collar workers barely getting by. I worked at CADAS, helping people stay alive. And I have seen wonderful life success, and personal great loss. I've had opportunities to be involved in most every facet of Hamilton County government, with the ins and outs, while working on multi-million dollar projects for Hamilton County. I know what success and honor are first hand.
Mr. Taylor came to Hamilton County as one of the first high ranking African Americans, when there were none. He was a moving force for Hamilton County from the beginning. Mr. Taylor has faithfully, and with the highest emphasis on honor, served Hamilton County for decades. The conversation concerning Rheubin Taylor was "if you can't get along with Rheubin, you can't get along with anybody."
He is a gentleman and professional.
Let the man who has been a son of our community for decades, leave in peace. America has enough 'righteous bullying.'
Appreciate the man, say thank you and let him have the respect he deserves. Rheubin Taylor - has earned his stripes like no one else has.
So stop ranting because you buy into crap media. You don't know. I do.
Mr. Taylor is a man of honor.
