Kenneth Buckner, a devoted Tennessee Vols fan and hardworking roofer, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023, in his home in Ooltewah. Born on Feb. 7, 1960, in Chattanooga, Kenneth was a true southern gentleman with a heart full of love and a passion for his family and his team.

With a strong work ethic, Kenneth dedicated many years to the construction industry, honing his skills as a roofer. He took great pride in his work, ensuring that every project was completed with the utmost care and precision. Outside of work, Kenneth had a deep love for his truck, often spending his weekends polishing and maintaining it to perfection.

But above all, Kenneth's greatest joy came from his family, particularly his grandchildren who held a special place in his heart. Their laughter and presence brought him immeasurable happiness and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Kenneth will forever be remembered as a loving husband. He shared his life with his beloved wife, Beverly Buckner, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they built a life filled with love, companionship and cherished memories.

Kenneth is now reunited with his parents in the eternal embrace of heaven.

He leaves behind a legacy of love to his surviving relatives. His daughter, Ashley Buckner (Michael Sims) and son, Dave Buckner, will forever hold cherished memories of their father; and his grandchildren, Caleb Sherrill, Elie Sherrill and Kaden Buckner; siblings: Ricky Buckner (Peggy), Shorty Buckner, Ann Liveley (Ikey) and Peggy "Bubbles" Walker (Bobby); and brother-in-law, Ricky Pemberton will continue to feel his love and guidance even in his absence.

In honor of Kenneth's life, a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Companion Funeral Home at 4 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate his life, share stories and find solace in each other's company, with a visitation from 3-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26 and Wednesday, Sept. 27 from 1p.m. until the service at 4 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Lee Cemetery following the service.

Kenneth's infectious smile, warm heart and unwavering love for his family will forever be etched in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest in peace, Kenneth. May your spirit soar high in the Tennessee sky, forever watching over your loved ones.
