Kenneth Clifford Davis
Kenneth Clifford Davis, 65, formerly of Red Bank, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 22, 2023.
Ken recently moved to Summerville, SC to be closer to family; however, Ken grew up in Red Bank and graduated from Red Bank High School, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Ken was well known in the hospitality industry in Chattanooga due to his 42 years in hotel management in the Scenic City, and throughout the Southeast.
Ken was always known as someone with a servant’s heart who never met a stranger. He was active during his youth with Easter Seals and March of Dimes, along with various political campaigns. He was a member of the Chattanooga Jaycees. He volunteered for Riverbend for over 30 years and was an Officer of Elections for the Hamilton County Election Commission for many years.
Volunteering was always a part of Ken’s life, and he could be found at the Community Kitchen, the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, or any number of church-sponsored events. He grew up attending Alpine Baptist Church, he was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church for many years and was also a member in his later years of Silverdale Baptist Church. He is currently a member of Ridge Baptist Church in Summerville, SC.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Worth Clifford Davis, his mother, Irene Brown Davis, and his brother, Terry Vance Davis.
He leaves his wife of 13 years, Jeanna Robertson Davis, his daughter, April (Alan) Davis Pugh, of Clarksville, TN, his step-children; Jason Dominioni of Memphis TN, Angela (Eric) Grissino of Summerville, SC, and Matthew (Rachel) Dominioni of Peachtree Corners, GA. He also leaves 6 grandchildren, whom he loved fiercely, Eli, Micah, Piper, Asher, Brandon, and Leo.
Ken loved all things outdoors; camping, fishing and spending time with his extended family of uncles, aunts, and cousins. He found great joy in traveling with his wife, Jeanna, on numerous cruises to the Caribbean, and spending time in the Smoky Mountains or the mountains of North Georgia. You could also find him proudly wearing orange for his TN Vols on gameday, or cheering on his favorite NASCAR driver.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 29, at Chattanooga Memorial Park (Duck Pond) with Eric Grissino officiating. Life-long friend and Sunday School teacher, Kittrell (Kit) Smith will be offering the eulogy. A Celebration of Life dinner for family and friends will follow at the Red Bank Community Center, 3653 Tom Weathers Dr., Red Bank, Tn. 37415.
Pallbearers include Frank Dominioni, Jason Dominioni, Matthew Dominioni, Alan Pugh, Rick Williams, and Judson Everett. Honorary Pallbearers are Randy Shroyer, and Belinda Ingalls.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA.org) or to Ridge Baptist Church (theridgesummerville.org).
Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy Daisy, Tn. 37379, 423 843-2525.
