McNeese, Dr. Clay McKinley, Jr. (Cleveland)

Dr. Clay McKinley McNeese, Jr. has entered into to his eternal reward. He was born to Clay & Inez McNeese on May 29, 1945. He volunteered for military service during the Vietnam Conflict and served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was married on Oct. 8, 1966 to the love of his life, Glenda Grace Bell McNeese, for more than 56 years. After receiving Christ as his personal Saviour, Clay served as song leader and trustee at his home church, Dogwood Valley Baptist Church, until he was ordained into the Gospel Ministry. Theirs was a life of faith as they followed God together and pastored churches in Idaho, Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia & Maryland. Only eternity will tell the impact of Pastor Clay McNeese's life on the lives of those to whom he ministered. Together they raised six children who all serve in full-time ministry today. Their children are Alicia (Chris) Hanks, Dean (Jennifer) McNeese, Jason (Hope) McNeese, Chad (Amy) McNeese, Jonathan (Amy Jo) McNeese & Johannah McNeese. Clay has 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dr. Clay McNeese, Jr went to his eternal home to be with his Lord and Saviour on September 23, 2023.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. at Dogwood Valley Baptist Church at 5296 Dogwood Valley Road in Tunnel Hill, with Dr. Randy Bell & Pastor Wayne Cofield officiating. A graveside service is to follow at Dogwood Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, with his eight grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will be receiving friends the evening before on Friday, Sept. 29 from 5-8 p.m. at Dogwood Valley Baptist Church.
