The Mocs went 2-0 in the opening week of the Southern Conference season.
UTC scored a pair of goals in the final six minutes of play against Mercer. After tying the match in the 85th minute, the Mocs scored on a corner kick with 1:22 to play. Caroline Richvalsky leads the team with six goals, 14 points and three game winning goals. Birna Johannsdottir is second with 12 points, a team-best six assists, three goals and two game winners. Carolina Ekern has two shutouts with six wins. She has a 1.25 goals against average and a .761 save percentage.

The Bucs' lone loss was a 3-1 matchup at Tennessee. ETSU held Furman scoreless in the Socon opener for both teams and went on to beat VMI 2-0 at home. Reagan Fitzgerald leads the team with four goals and eight points. Sinoxolo Cesane and Ruby Teixeira each have six points with Cesane second on the team with three goals. Teixeira has a team-best four assists. Ashton Blair has made nine appearances in the net for the Bucs with 22 saves and a .846 save percentage. She has a 0.55 goals against average.

Chattanooga and ETSU finished in a scoreless draw last year at the UTC Sports Complex. The Mocs edged the Bucs on shots (9-7) but neither was able to find the net on a hot October Sunday. Birna Johannsdottir led with a game-best three shots while JaNiya Stevens and Kennedy Heavrin launched a pair each. Caroline Ekern made a save late in the match to preserve her sixth shutout of the season. The tie kept the Mocs unbeaten (5-0-2) in Southern Conference play and on pace for their first-ever regular season league championship.
