Karyn R. Burgans Stewart
Karyn R. Burgans Stewart was born on July 18, 1968, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She departed this life on Friday, September 22, 2023, at a local hospital, at the age of 55.
Karyn graduated from City High School, class of 1986. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. Karyn loved the Lord and she loved her family. She was a legendary master stylist who had a heart of gold. Karyn will be remembered as a woman of class with a beautiful smile and creative hands of art. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the hair industry.
She was predeceased by her mother, Cassandra Burgans Henry.
She will forever be loved and missed by her father, Willie Joe Henry; two sons, Anthony Broome II and Kaylen Stewart Sr.; sister, Polly Henry; eight grandchildren; and a host of family members and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Olivet Baptist Church, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service, with Bishop Kevin L. Adams as officiant.
