Erlanger Foundation Board Announces 6 New Members

The Erlanger Foundation Board has added the following members for 2024: Kyle Bianco, Lauren Boehm, Lynda Minks Hood, Dr. Jensen Hyde, Iona Jones and Ward Petty.

The Erlanger Foundation is governed by a board of directors comprised of volunteers. Led by Chairman Less Lee, Vice Chair Rachel Allred, Secretary Dr. Dave Bhattacharya, Treasurer Larvizo Wright, and Past Chair Lynn Mosier Bryant, the board of directors serves to build community awareness and assist in raising funds for the Foundation’s initiatives.

Mr. Bianco is a senior manager in the Financial Services organization at the Tennessee Valley Authority. Mr. Bianco has worked in the utility industry for 12 years and is known for being a leader who can bring individuals together to develop and execute strategies to support long-term objectives. His previous service for the Erlanger Foundation includes the Children’s Miracle Network and Corporate Partners Committee. Mr. Bianco lives in Chattanooga with his wife, Jessica, and two young children. Mr. Bianco and his wife are both Chattanooga natives and active members in the community.

Ms. Boehm was born and raised in Germantown, Tn. Shortly after college, she and her husband, Dr. Peter Boehm, Jr., moved to Dublin, Ireland, for five years, where she initially worked as a recruitment consultant while gaining additional degrees in Marketing and Public Relations. Throughout her time in Ireland, Ms. Boehm volunteered and was subsequently hired as the director of Make-A-Wish Foundation in Ireland until moving back to the United States in 2004. Since then her family has been her main focus. She has been married to Peter for 25 years, and they have three children. Ms. Boehm was recently introduced to the Erlanger Foundation as co-chair for the 2023 Believe Bash.

Ms. Hood is in her twenty-ninth year as executive director of the Chattanooga Bar Association. She previously served as chairwoman of the Erlanger Health System Foundation Board of Directors from January 2018 through December 2020 and as past chair from 2021 through 2022. She co-chaired Erlanger's Believe Bash in 2017 and again in 2018. Ms. Hood was appointed in December 2019 by the Tennessee Supreme Court to serve a three-year term on the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education. After taking a year off of service on the Erlanger Foundation Board, she is looking forward to rejoining and continuing the work of raising money and awareness for Erlanger. Ms. Hood is also a member of the 2023-24 Class X of Leadership Tennessee.

Dr. Hyde was appointed chief medical officer for Erlanger in August 2023. Previously, Dr. Hyde served as chief medical quality officer for Erlanger Medical Group and as a hospitalist at Erlanger Baroness Hospital. Dr. Hyde, a board-certified internal medicine physician, earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2014. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UTHSC Chattanooga before earning a Master of Public Health from Columbia University in 2020. Throughout her career, Dr. Hyde has excelled as a medical practitioner, contributing significantly to advancements in medical science and patient care. The CMO of Erlanger serves on the Erlanger Foundation Board as an ex-officio member.

Ms. Jones was born in Columbia, Mo., and earned an Associate Degree from Capital Business College in 1963. Ms. Jones and her husband, Greg, have been married for 28 years. She has one son, a stepdaughter, a stepson, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Ms. Jones is the new Erlanger Auxiliary Board President beginning in 2024 and will serve on the Foundation Board during her term as Auxiliary Board president.

Mr. Petty is the branch manager and managing director of Benjamin F. Edwards in Chattanooga. He has been with Edwards and its predecessor company, A.G. Edwards, since 1991. Mr. Petty has served on a myriad of non-profit organizations in the community. He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church and lives on Lookout Mountain with his wife, Nancy. Mr. Petty has two grown children, a daughter, Mimi, and a son, Tyler.

The Erlanger Foundation Board is the philanthropic arm of Erlanger, raising $4.8 million in the last fiscal year. Erlanger is the region’s most comprehensive medical center offering the only Level I Trauma Center as well as the highest levels of neonatal and pediatric care. The Foundation hosts the annual Believe Bash and Children’s Hospital Golf Classic.
