Vinson Lee Canion, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his residence.

Vinson attended Riverside High School, class of 1975. He attended New Covenant Fellowship Church. Vinson had a passion for music.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Reviere; father, Richard Canion, Sr.; brothers, John Marshall Chevie Canion, Robert Canion, Sr., and Richard Canion, Jr.; sister, Virginia Canion. Vinson leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Marquesha (John) Canion-Greene; grandchildren, John Rollins III, Ocie Hunt, Jr., Nevaeh Hunt, and Cheyenne Powell; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Vinson will lie in state on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. at New Covenant Fellowship Church with Pastor Bernie Miller as Eulogist. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
