Andy “Chip” Oliver Burnette III
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andy “Chip” Oliver Burnette III, who left us on September 28, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family.
Born with a remarkable spirit, Chip was a man of many passions. An avid fisherman, he found solace and joy in the tranquility of the water. His craftsmanship reflected his dedication and creativity; whether through woodworking or other handmade projects, he poured his heart into every endeavor. On Saturdays in the fall he could be found cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs.
Above all, Chip shared his love for Jesus through his generous heart and kindness. He loved everyone he encountered, leaving a lasting impact on all those who had the privilege to know him. His selflessness and warmth will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered by the countless lives he touched.
Chip is survived by his wife, Tammy (Johnson) Burnette, daughter, Taylor Burnette, grandson; Bryson, parents, Linda and Andy Burnette, sister, Angie (Robert) Loftis, mother-in-law, Sue Wright, sister-in-law, Susan Johnson, nephews; Jesse Johnson, Jordan Burnette, and Ryan Loftis, great-nephew, Solain Burnette, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
We invite all who knew Chip to celebrate his life while honoring him by wearing Georgia Bulldog apparel or at least something red and black for the ones who can’t put the “G” on their chest at Lane Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
The family will receive friends from 1–3 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
Rest in peace, Chip. Your spirit lives on in our hearts.
All arrangements are by Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel, Rossville.
