Nine Scots Named to Post Season Soccer Teams

The Collegiate Conference of the South announced the 2024 Men's Soccer All-Conference teams and yearly award winners on Wednesday evening.

Kade Theunissen won Offensive Player of the Year, Parker Rody earned Defensive Player of the Year, and Head Coach Scott Bosgraf was named Coach of the Year. This is the second year in a row these three have won their respective awards.

Theunissen finished the regular season with 13 assists, which leads the CCS and ranks second in NCAA Division III. He also was second in the CCS in goals scored with nine. He had four games where he tallied at least two assists. The senior started all 16 matches and played 1,049 minutes. 

Rody was a dynamic player for the Scots in defense, spending time at both center back and right back. He led all the field players in minutes played at 1,272, starting all 16 matches. He helped the Covenant defense keep seven shutouts and allow just 0.81 goals per game, which ranks second in the conference. 

Bosgraf, in his eighth season in charge led Covenant to an 11-2-3 record and a 4-0-2 CCS record to be crowned Regular Season Champions. The Scots challenged themselves in the nonconference and picked up wins over then-ranked No. 3 Washington and Lee, Emory, and Brevard. 

Covenant had nine players named First Team or Second Team All-CCS which was the highest among all schools.

The Scots return to the pitch on Saturday in the CCS Semifinals at 2 p.m. where they will take on LaGrange, Maryville, or Piedmont.
