Don Eaves Heritage House takes a unique turn this gothic season with its movie programming by highlighting three films celebrating the great novels & short stories of legendary science-fiction writer Ray Bradbury.
Each Thursday evening in October at 7 p.m., the big screen in The Studio upstairs will illuminate with a feature film either directly related (i.e.: a Bradbury novel adaptation) or indirectly related (i.e.: a film on which Mr. Bradbury served as the screenwriter).
Organizers said, " Attendees bold enough to approach Mr.
Dark, the 'October Master of CineMonies,' will be rewarded with a souvenir of the season bearing a smart code to direct the brave viewer to a free site where they may view the definitive Ray Bradbury 'Halloween movie' on the electronic device of their own choosing. Licensing requirements do not allow Heritage House to freely advertise titles online; therefore, Chattanooga-area cinephiles are kindly instructed to drop Heritage House a brief email for a full schedule of all upcoming films at HeritageHouse@Chattanooga.gov with the phrase "Film Schedule" in the subject line."
Feature films will begin Thursdays at 7 p.m., with trailers of coming attractions beginning at 6:45 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. A brief Q&A will follow the presentation. Admission is free.
