Eggs Up Grill, a breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, will open its first restaurant in the Chattanooga metro area later this fall in Cleveland. Located at 285 Paul Huff Pkwy. in the Hickory Grove Shopping Mall, this is the first Eggs Up Grill for franchise partners and husband-and-wife duo Alex Curtis and Giselle Cordero.
Mr. Curtis and Ms. Cordero are both natives of Cleveland and are graduates of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Mr. Curtis has spent the last 15 years in logistics and is a director of operations for a local company; he will operate the restaurant.
Ms. Cordero has been at Newly Weds Foods for the last 10 years and is currently the human resources manager. The couple is raising their family in the area and have been searching for a business opportunity to help become an integral part of the community so they can start giving back to their hometown.
“Part of the DNA of the Eggs Up Grill brand is giving back to the community where you live and work, and that’s what really drew us to it,” said Mr. Curtis. “Cleveland is growing rapidly and needs a great breakfast, brunch and lunch spot, and it’s also an opportunity for our family to start making an impact in our hometown community and begin serving our neighbors. Eggs Up Grill is our first avenue to start doing that and we couldn’t be more excited.”
With indoor seating for 140, the 3,850 square-foot restaurant is designed to make guests feel at home in a light, bright and cheery atmosphere. The restaurant will serve guests seven days a week from 6 a.m.-2 p.m., with dine-in, online ordering, takeout, catering and delivery options available. It also has a 10-seat private dining room available for larger groups or community gatherings called “The Coop.”
Eggs Up Grill will serve its full menu open to close. Signature menu items include the founder’s recipe corned beef hash with potatoes, onions and special spices, as well as made-to-order omelets, buttery, grilled blueberry muffins, classic breakfast dishes, croissant-style donuts and lunch selections, including burgers, melts, salads and more. Eggs Up Grill also caters events big or small, with a menu featuring breakfast favorites like eggs, grits, home fries, biscuits and gravy and muffins. Salads and sandwiches are available for catered lunch.
