The Chattanooga Mocs wrestling squad hits the road this week for a single dual. The Mocs tackle the fifth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes Thursday in Columbus.
It’s the second top 10 opponent in a row for the program which opened with a 37-6 loss at No. 8 Virginia Tech. It’s a big challenge but one that is necessary for the program to take the next step. So, what is Coach Kyle Ruschell looking for from the Hokies match to Thursday at OSU?
"The big transition from the last one to this one is confidence and fight," he explained.
"Ultimately, we've showed them technique. They've drilled it a million times in training. We've seen them hit it in some of those matches against Virginia Tech and at the Southeast Open.
"Now, it's a matter of just of more effort, more putting your will into that guy and saying, 'hey, I'm gonna go get this takedown."
