The Cleveland State women's basketball couldn't get it going offensively on Wednesday.
Chattanooga State (4-0, 2-0) limited the Cougars (0-4, 0-2) to 27.8 percent shooting from the field taking the game 73-42.
The Tigers fared much better from the field shooting 45.5 percent with Norah Walkup leading the way going 8-11 scoring a game high 16 points. Chattanooga State had four players finish with double figures in scoring.
Maiya Moore put in 13 points for a team high with Dejanae Dennis-Cassanova scoring 11 as the two Cougars that finished in double figures.
Mar'Nazha Houston grabbed a game high 14 rebounds for Cleveland State, she is currently third in the conference in that category averaging 9.3 per game.
Cleveland State looks to pick up their first win of the season this Saturday when they travel to Dyersburg State (1-3, 0-1). Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. est.
In the men's game the Tigers (3-1, 1-1) walked out of Cleveland State (2-3, 0-2) with an 87-67 victory.
Jeremiah Hayes scored a game high 20 points for the Cougars with Carson Boyle putting in 11 and Dwayne Haliburton scoring 10.
Dennis Lewis led the Tigers in scoring with 18 off the bench. Yerald Mieses put in 12 while Tyree Smith added 10. Eleven of the 12 Chattanooga State players put points on the board.
Next up for Cleveland State is a road trip to Dyersburg State (1-4. 0-1). Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday at 5 p.m. eastern.
