Held Long Career With Provident And Was An Avid Animal Lover

Georgia Lee Brewer passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, at her home in Chattanooga.

Born on Jan. 10, 1933, to Lee and Ethel Robinson, Georgia worked for many years at Provident Insurance Company, serving as secretary to the president. She was married to Bill Murray for 40 years prior to his passing. She was also predeceased by husbands, Bob Guffin, Melvin Warren, and Bob Brewer.

She was a devoted lifelong member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, and had a deep faith that guided her throughout her life. An avid animal lover, Georgia found great joy in the company of her pets and many strays found their way to her doorstep.

She is survived by her beloved family and many dear friends who will miss her warmth, grace, and unwavering love. A special note of appreciation goes to Joanne Burns and her family of caregivers.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home on East Brainerd Road, on Friday, Nov. 22, at 2:30 p.m., with Nancy Harrison officiating. A reception will follow.
