The annual Soddy-Daisy Fall Festival returns this Saturday with its biggest celebration yet, featuring over 150 local vendors, live entertainment and free family activities. The event runs from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Soddy Lake Park, transforming the venue into a community gathering space.
This year's expanded festival offers something for everyone, from artisan crafts and local food vendors to live performances and children's activities. Festival highlights include horse-drawn carriage rides by Chattanooga Carriage Company, magic shows by Anthony Foley, balloon art by Mike "The Balloon Guy" Edwards and live music throughout the day by Richard Daigle, Nina Ricci and Ryan Oyer.
Families can enjoy a free kids' zone with bounce houses and a complimentary petting zoo provided by Soddy United Methodist Church.
"Our Fall Festival celebrates everything that makes Soddy-Daisy special – local talent, family entertainment and community spirit," says Cindi Sanden, executive director of Keep Soddy-Daisy Beautiful. "With over 150 vendors, this year's festival promises to be our largest yet, showcasing the best of what our community has to offer."
The festival will also serve as a collection point for the "Keeping Kids Warm" coat drive, a community initiative led by City Commissioner Marcus Keith, in partnership with the Soddy-Daisy Community Library and Soddy Speed Shop.
The free event is made possible through support from sponsors, including Parkridge Health System, EPB, J103, City of Soddy-Daisy, Keep Tennessee Beautiful, Scenic Community Credit Union and State Farm.
