Leah Boyd ran the Mile in a time of 5:01.96, setting a PR in the race and placing fourth. Ellis was 10th overall at 5:24.30.

"Leah and Andrea both started our meet out well right off the start with PRs," Mocs head coach Andy Meyer said. "Both stayed in control for the first part of the race and with 800 meters [to go], accelerated with intention and held it to the finish.
We are really pleased with their race."

Lexi Foley finished fourth in the 800 meter run with a PR time of 2:20.07. Kathryn Vradenburgh placed fifth at 2:22.51 and Wheatcroft was sixth with a time of 2:23.44.

"Maddie, Kathryn and Lexi were in a very fast heat," Meyer said. "The race went out hard and the girls did not go over their heads with the pace. They worked the last 300 meters hard and Lexi had a strong kick along with Kathryn and Maddie. Lexi had a huge indoor PR."

Chattanooga's Team A in the 4x00 meter relay placed sixth at 4:10.05.

"In the 4x4, our A team competed well," Meyer said. "Lexi [Foley] started strong and handed off to Sarah [Unterholzner] who handed off to Ava [McGue] and Maddie [Wheatcroft] ran a great anchor to win the heat."

Team B was eighth with a time of 4:41.40.

"B team ran well also," Meyer said. "That team consisted of Hannah [Dearing], Olivia [Steele], Kennedy [Reynolds] and anchored by Brooke [Tyll].

"We had a first good day and tomorrow we will be back at the same venue and many of the ladies will be moving up in distances."
