Dennis Howard Murray, 78, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Tn., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Dennis was born on October 17, 1945. He was a graduate of Bradley Central High School, class of 1963. He was a veteran of the US Air Force from 1965-1969. He was also a graduate of Cleveland State Community College. He was the owner of Dennis Murray Construction Company for over 40 years, a company with an excellent reputation, built on word of mouth referrals.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas C. and Margie Bancroft Murray; brothers Eddie and Billy Murray and his sister Willie Murray Chase.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Faith Foster Murray, his daughter Denise and her husband, Robert Ballard, his granddaughter Maggie Ballard, his brother Jim Murray and his wife Sheila and their family; as well as his extended family.

Family will receive friends at the Wesley Memorial Church, 3405 Peerless Road NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37312 on Saturday, March 2, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The family would like to extend their very special thanks to the medical team at Tennova Hospital for the excellent and compassionate care they extended to Dennis during his stay.
