Elgiteen Joshen (Momma), 81, was born on May 11, 1942, to Mattie and Albert Favors of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She completed this earthly journey on Sunday, March 17, at 7:40 p.m.

She was employed at Smurfit-Stone Container until her retirement.

Elgiteen was a faithful church member and director of the choir at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church.

Elgiteen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Joshen, Sr; daughter, Cynthia Joshen; son, Patrick Joshen; several sisters, Viola James, Betty Lou Favors, Grace Carter, Elizabeth Favors, and Clara McPherson; brothers, Albert Favors, Jr, Jerry Favors, and Tommy Lee Favors.

She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Norman Joshen, Jr., Kenneth Joshen, and Dexter Lebron Joshen (Katie Joshen); grandson, Keyshaun Joshen; several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose Lee Jackson; one brother, Jimmy Favors of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.

She will be truly missed and our hearts will ache with sadness. Many tears will flow. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. She will always hold a special place in each of our hearts. We will meet again now rest our beautiful angel.

Public viewing will be held from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, followed by a noon funeral service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
