Former Rossville Police Officer Lived 76 Years At Fairview

Maxine Rimasfski Warren, 94, a 76-year resident of the Fairview Community of Rossville, sadly passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at a local hospital.

Maxine was born in Chattanooga on January 26, 1930, to the late Joseph and Ethel Stevens Rimasfski. She retired from the Rossville Police Department after 27 years working as School Patrol, Meter Reader, and Rossville Police Officer. Maxine was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

She was devoted to caring for her family and friends. Her contagious smile, sense of humor and helping others will never be forgotten. Maxine enjoyed reclining in her chair in the garage, visiting with her neighbors and friends, playing the lottery, and going to Tunica. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone that she knew.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, William “Bill” Warren; son, Ronnie Warren; granddaughter, Carla Warren Ware; and seven siblings.

Survivors include her children, Sue (Rickey) Murdock, Bonna (Dan) Burkhart, and David (Theresa) Warren; grandchildren, Rickey Murdock, Jr., Shelley Green, Ronald Warren, Amanda Newell and Tracy Neary; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank Gary Warren, Lee Rimasfski, Joe Bearden and The Rosewood of Fort Oglethorpe for their kindness, compassion and love.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Jim Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.

The family will receive friends Monday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
