Opal Lee Parker Thibodeaux, 94, born in Athens, Alabama, and a longtime resident of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on April 19, 2024.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert “Bill” Thibodeaux; parents, Elmer and Bertha Parker; sister, Doris Gatlin; and brother, Doug Parker.

She is survived by children, Debra Thibodeaux and Albert “Billy” (Caki) Thibodeaux; grandchildren, Lee (Alicia) Thibodeaux, Kyle (Rachel) Thibodeaux and Jake (Audrey) Thibodeaux; great grandchildren, Ann Hollis Thibodeaux, Jerome Thibodeaux, Taylor Thibodeaux, and Jax Thibodeaux.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Opal’s memory.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
