The Chattanooga Steam, Chattanooga’s first professional fastpitch team, will be hitting the field in less than a month, competing against the Oklahoma City Spark, Florida Vibe, and New York Rise at the inaugural Coca Cola Scenic City Pro Cup. This event will be held at Warner Park at Frost Stadium starting on Wednesday, July 19, and run through Saturday, July 22.
The Steam previously announced several players on their roster, which included Kaylee Tow of Alabama, Abbey Cheek-Ramsey from the University of Kentucky, Hayley Busby from Oklahoma State University, the University of Florida’s Pal Egan, and international professional veteran Jen Michuda.
Recently, the Steam added the 2023 NFCA Pitcher of the Year and 2024 NCAA Today’s Top 10 Honoree Ashley Rogers from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and Conference USA’s 2024 Defensive Player of the Year from Western Kentucky University TJ Webster.
Newly added players include Western Kentucky University’s homerun and RBI record holder, Taylor Sanders, former Clemson standout Alia Logoleo, and multiple time All-American and reigning SEC homerun queen at Georgia Sara Mosely.
Local players include Kaili Phillips of UTC and GPS grad Shelby Walters, 1st team all conference pitcher in the ACC and SEC, at Duke and Georgia, respectively.
Tickets are available online for the Coca Cola Scenic City Pro Cup, a series of eight games.
