William M. “Bill” Ramsey, Sr. “Squirrel”, 75, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Bill was born on December 8, 1948, was a lifelong resident of Harrison and was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. He was known for being a very talented carpenter, hunter, someone who always offered a helping hand, but most of all, he was known for being the best Dad and Papaw.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Ramsey; parents, Ebb and Bessie Ramsey; brothers, Johnny and Bud, and sisters, Ida , Inez and Betty.

Bill is survived by his son, Bo Ramsey (Amy); daughters, Kim Morell (Mike), Sandy Elsea (Charlie); brother, Doyle; grandchildren, Shaine, Lane, Andrew, Shelby, Makala, Brie and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Aubrie, Anzleigh and Tipton; special friend, Margaret Moser, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18, from 4-8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home at Highway 58.

A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, June 19, from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ronnie Dotson officiating.

Bill will be laid to rest in Old McDonald Cemetery in Ooltewah.
