Freida C. Stutz
Freida C. Stutz, 83, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on June 15, 2024, surrounded by family at her residence.
Born on December 7, 1940 she was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She loved boating on Lake Chickamauga and the Myakka River in South Florida. All the family boats were named for her – The Freida C.
Freida enjoyed RVing in Florida in the winters and 4-wheeling and hanging out around the fire pit in the mountains at the family Cabin in the Blue Ridge.
She spent many years as a Realtor and Mortgage Originator and served on the TN State Board of Realtors.
In addition to her parents, Freida was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carl R. Stutz, her parents Clyde F. Cross and Nola (Malone) Cross and brother Billy F. Cross.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Eric) Koegel; son, Kenneth "Ken" (Michelle) Stutz; grandchildren, Christina (Christian) Cotsakis-Cordon of Athens, Ga., Logan (Kierstyn) Wolfe and Ashely (Austin) Lewis of Cleveland, and great-granddaughter Athena Cordon-Cotsakis.
Freida will be remembered for being the life of the party, smiling, joking, singing and dancing. Anyone who didn’t have a place to be for the holidays always had a seat at the Stutz table.
